AMI is located at Baker Memorial United Methodist Church, located at 307 Cedar Ave in beautiful downtown St Charles. AMI St Charles Campus houses most AMI programs, such as Private Lessons, Group Classes, Summer Camp, etc. Students at this campus come from St Charles and surrounding towns such as Geneva, Batavia, West Chicago, Wayne, Wasco, Aurora, Carol Stream, South Elgin, Elgin, Bartlett, Winfield, and more…

All instruments are taught at AMI’s St Charles Campus… piano, guitar, voice, violin, viola, cello, bass, flute, clarinet, trumpet, horn, harp, and more.

About AMI

American Music Institute is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded and run by Remus Badea, our Executive Director. AMI’s mission is to provide a high standard of music education to all students in all instruments, levels, ages, and styles of music. Our principle objective is to preserve the art of music education and music performance for future generations of the American society.

AMI’s campuses are located in Clarendon Hills, Downers Grove and St. Charles, Illinois. We are a leading pre-collegiate music school in the Chicagoland area specializing in quality music education and professional music performance. AMI offers a variety of programs in all disciplines of music and for all ages, levels, and styles of music.

AMI offers a variety of programs, from beginning classes for children and adults, to advanced programs. Free community concerts and open recitals are offered throughout the year, as well as free music seminars in local community centers. Individual lessons are offered on all instruments in a variety of different styles of music. They are a great way to develop sophisticated playing skills for students of all levels and ages.
