Amy Stacey Curtis to Perform ‘Healing Through Music’ Live in Lewiston on July 30

LEWISTON, ME — Musician and Maine’s Got Talent 2025 winner Amy Stacey Curtis will headline a special one-hour performance titled Healing Through Music at the Franco Center on Wednesday, July 30, from 6 to 7 p.m. The evening is expected to be more than a concert — it’s a moving tribute to resilience, recovery, and the transformative power of song.
A Story of Healing Through Music
Amy’s journey is one of profound perseverance. In 2017, she suffered a debilitating brain injury caused by untreated Lyme disease, leaving her reliant on a wheelchair. Over the years, she gradually regained mobility — from a walker, to a cane, to eventually walking again. But her speech remained impaired.
That’s when Amy discovered the ukulele.
What started as therapy turned into a full-blown musical mission. Committed to learning five new cover songs a week, Curtis gradually rebuilt her neural pathways. The result? Not only did she regain near-normal speech in calm settings, but she also connected with thousands online — one of her performances even crossed 600,000 views.
A New Voice in Maine’s Music Scene
Now a regular performer at Fast Breaks’ Monday night open mic in Lewiston, Curtis continues to grow a passionate following on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. Her performances — often raw, tender, and deeply personal — offer more than entertainment. They offer hope.
With over 500 songs in her repertoire, Curtis has carved out a space as one of Maine’s most inspiring and unconventional music voices.
