Lasers, lights, smoke and confetti blasts were the icing on the already delectable cake filled with phat beats and juicy grooves, making this festival experience the most unique and memorable one!

ARC Music Fest Makes Phenomenal Debut [REVIEW] 2

House music fans gathered in Union Park over Labor Day weekend to celebrate the electronic genre that was created in the windy city. With headliners Zhu, Fisher, and Eric Prydz it was bound to be an awesome weekend, but I never expected such an amazing production from a first year festival.

Live event architects, Auris Presents, an independent production company led by industry veterans, Nick Karounos, John Curley and Stuart Hackley designed ARC Music Festival to be an experiential one, which was quite the understatement as you can see from the photo above.

You can experience their high quality work at Chicago venues, Radius, Concord Music Hall, and Prysm Nightclub to name a few.

From the excitement of the Elrow Stage to the variety of local vendors and the camaraderie that emerges when dancing with other attendees, ARC Music Festival is a must for any EDM fan.

All four stages presented different environments, (watch the video below to see what they were like). The main stage, The Grid, greeted you when you entered the fest with booming beats and enticing visuals. The Elrow Stage was hidden beneath a large tent with interesting characters dancing on stage and confetti showers over the crowd.

The Expansions Stage was beautifully built to resemble a wise tree in a forest and DJs such as Channel Tres, DJ Heather, and Luciano played enchanting sets under vines of leaves. The ARC Car, (powered by the GoodBus), where the artist DJs on top of a white school bus, was positioned right in the middle of the venue where attendees could gather on a dance floor.

Union Park is fairly small and easy to navigate, which means there are a lot of overlapping sounds while traveling within the festival. Ear plugs were much needed while enjoying shows this weekend, and the excitement to be attending music festivals again could be felt throughout the park. The two-day festival surpassed all my expectations, and I cannot wait to see how ARC Music Festival grows in the coming years.
