Candlelight Concert Series Brings Magical Music Experience Back to Berks County This Fall

BERKS COUNTY, PA — The world-renowned Candlelight concert series, celebrated for its mesmerizing blend of live music and the warm glow of thousands of candles, is returning to Berks County this fall with a brand-new program designed to enchant audiences of all ages.
The next local performance will be held on October 25 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 4125 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring, offering a unique multisensory experience that combines masterful musicianship with a visually stunning atmosphere.
Hans Zimmer and a Haunting Halloween Night
The evening kicks off at 6 p.m. with Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer, featuring the sweeping cinematic scores that have defined blockbuster films. At 8:30 p.m., the Halloween program takes over, embracing the spooky, fantastical, and supernatural.
The Halloween setlist includes eerie classical works like Danse Macabre by Camille Saint-Saëns, Funeral March of a Marionette by Charles Gounod, and the haunting second movement of Shostakovich’s String Quartet No. 8.
Adding to the thrill, audiences can expect iconic movie and TV themes such as Tubular Bells from The Exorcist, Mussorgsky’s Night on Bald Mountain (famously heard in Disney’s Fantasia), Bernard Herrmann’s Prelude from Psycho, and the instantly recognizable tunes from Beetlejuice, The Addams Family, Ghostbusters, Halloween, Stranger Things, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Time Warp from The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Even Michael Jackson’s Thriller will get a string quartet twist.
