Dennis: Hey everyone! How’s it going? How have you been doing since Lollapalooza?

Glove: We’ve been great! Just have been tying up loose ends with the record & enjoying our time being back on tour.

Dennis: Has anything changed for the band since performing at Lollapalooza?

Glove: Not particularly! It definitely brought us all a little spark of excitement & inspiration to just keep on doin our thing.

Dennis: So you went back home to Tampa for the Gasparilla Music Festival, did you get to see anyone you were hoping to see?

Glove: We didn’t have too much time that day but we got to catch Parquet Courts at Gasparilla which was super cool to see them!

Dennis: How were your headlining shows that you did last month?

Glove: All of the shows were amazing! Some of our favorites to date, like consistently great turn outs + it was nice getting closer with White Reaper & meeting the guys in Wavves. It feels so good to be playing our music live again & seeing the beauty of how shows brings people together.

Dennis: What is the latest on the release of your album? Any news to share on that front?

Glove: Our album will be out early 2022, more info soon.

Dennis: Will it be released on vinyl as well?

Glove: There will be a vinyl release.

Dennis: Now you’ve just released your awesome new video for Modern Toy, what can you tell me about the making of it, when was it filmed?

Brie: It was filmed in our garage in the middle of July.. We live in Florida so you can imagine how that was haha. The video concept was something I had been daydreaming about for months in my head. I had the outfit first, then just started building the set and surroundings around it. When I finally felt everything was ready, our amazing video friends Kyle & Oscar came over and shot the video all in one night!!

Dennis: Did you also write the song?

Brie: Rod and I co-wrote the lyrics together and Rod wrote all the music for it.

Dennis: I love the look of the video, so sleek and (sorry, modern) and it was quite a departure from the look and feel of your previous live videos having more of a retro tone. Is this what we can expect to see with your videos going forward?

Glove: We definitely appreciate both aspects of modern and retro visuals, there’s a place for both in the world we’re creating for ourselves. Only time will reveal.

Dennis: Well, thank you so much for your time once again and I really have been enjoying all the great music and videos you’re putting out there. Keep it up and have a good one!

About Glove

Rod Wendt, Brie Deux and Michelle Primiani began playing music together in Tampa, FL in 2017 and shortly thereafter found their missing piece, Justin Burns, to form the modern dystopian bliss that is Glove. The stylish and magnetic 4-piece group underscores the best of the 1980’s synthetic new wave sound with a contemporary rock n’ roll edge that is sure to propel the band to the forefront of the alternative rock genre.

After self-booking DIY shows for two years, the band supported indie rock darlings The Nude Party and Broncho on a string of east coast shows, honing their infectious live performances fueled by 70’s inspired dance rhythms and buzzing cosmic guitar melodies. After catching the attention of guitarist Brad Shultz of Cage the Elephant, Glove went into into the studio with Scultz in Nashville, TN to produce their debut album, Boom Nights.

In April of 2021, Glove released the first single from their forthcoming album titled “Glass”, landing their first Spotify editorial playlist on “New Noise” as well as festival slots at Lollapalooza, Shaky Knees, and Levitation. The band will hit the road with alt rock band, White Reaper, following the release of their second single “Behaviour” on July 21, 2021.

“Behaviour” is a radiating track that speaks to the static reaction to operate and perform as you’re told – a chain reaction of words and expressions, a sentiment that the song’s vocalist Rod Wendt charmingly teases throughout this ear-worm. Glove will release Boom Nights in the fall of 2021 to coincide with a handful of headlining dates, doubling down on their place in contemporary music.
