Coldplay Reschedules Final Wembley Concerts Due to London Transport Strikes

Coldplay has been forced to reschedule their final two Wembley Stadium concerts after planned London Underground strikes made it impossible to safely move thousands of fans to and from the venue.
Why the Change Was Made
The group announced on August 30 that the concerts originally scheduled for September 7 and 8 could not go ahead as planned.
“Without a Tube service, it’s impossible to get 82,000 people to the concert and home again safely, and therefore no event licence can be granted for the nights of 7th and 8th September,” Coldplay said in their statement.
New Wembley Dates
The rescheduled performances are now set for:
- September 6, 2025 (moved up from Sept. 7)
- September 12, 2025 (moved back from Sept. 8)
The shift ensures fans will have access to safe and reliable transport options around Wembley Stadium.
Closing Out the Music of the Spheres World Tour
The Wembley concerts mark the conclusion of Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour, which began in March 2022 in San José, Costa Rica.
Spanning more than 225 shows across 80 venues in 43 countries, the tour has become one of the most successful in the band’s history, praised for its mix of stadium-sized anthems, immersive visuals, and sustainability initiatives.
What Fans Should Know
Tickets for the original September 7 and 8 dates will remain valid for the rescheduled shows. Fans unable to attend can seek refunds through official ticketing channels.
The final show on September 12 will officially bring Coldplay’s massive three-year global tour to an end, closing a historic chapter for the band and its worldwide fan base.
Coldplay’s Wembley finale may have been disrupted by transport strikes, but the band’s commitment to safety and their fans means the Music of the Spheres Tour will still finish on a triumphant note.
