David Gilmour Announces Live Album and Concert Film Capturing His Sold-Out Tour

CHICAGO – David Gilmour, the iconic Pink Floyd guitarist, is returning to the spotlight with the release of an expansive new live package that immortalizes his triumphant 2024 Luck and Strange tour. Fans around the globe will soon be able to experience the magic through The Luck and Strange Concerts live album and Live at the Circus Maximus, Rome concert film.

A Global Tour Remembered

The Luck and Strange tour marked Gilmour’s long-awaited return to live performance after nearly a decade. Spanning 23 sold-out dates, the tour hit historic venues from the Brighton Centre and Rome’s Circus Maximus to the Hollywood Bowl and New York’s Madison Square Garden.

The new concert film — Live at the Circus Maximus — will screen in cinemas and IMAX worldwide for a limited time beginning September 17, via Sony Music Vision and Trafalgar Releasing. Filmed by longtime collaborator Gavin Elder, the cinematic release captures the Rome shows set against the breathtaking backdrop of ancient ruins.

Multi-Format Release for Audiophiles and Collectors

In addition to the film, the Luck and Strange live recordings will be available on:

The film and albums include stirring live performances of Pink Floyd staples like Wish You Were Here, Comfortably Numb, and High Hopes, as well as solo material like Black Cat and Between Two Points (featuring Romany Gilmour).

All audio has been co-produced by Gilmour and Charlie Andrew in immersive formats including Dolby Atmos and 5.1 surround sound, offering a full concert experience.
