Greenville Chamber Music Society Announces Inaugural 2025–26 Concert Season

GREENVILLE, TEXAS – The newly formed Greenville Chamber Music Society (GCMS) is bringing a full season of music to Hunt County with the announcement of its inaugural 2025–26 Concert Season. Beginning on October 3, the GCMS will host 11 concerts at the Greenville Municipal Auditorium, featuring a mix of chamber ensembles, orchestral collaborations, and world-class soloists.

A Mission to Inspire Through Music

Founded by professional musicians, the Greenville Chamber Music Society is dedicated to presenting high-quality performances, providing educational opportunities, and fostering community engagement. In addition to its concert series, GCMS has set its sights on developing a countywide youth orchestra, aiming to enrich the local cultural ecosystem for years to come.

Highlights of the 2025–26 Season

The debut season offers a wide variety of programming that blends classical, contemporary, and cross-genre artistry:

  • October 3, 2025 – Night at the Movies: Greenville Pops Orchestra with Sabatina Maura performing cinematic favorites including Defying Gravity and Never Enough.
  • October 19, 2025 – The Melodies of Nature: Works by Respighi, Mason Bates, Brittney Benton, and Amy Beach, performed by the GCMS Musicians’ Collective.
  • November 8, 2025 – Eldred Marshall in Concert: A solo piano evening showcasing the virtuosity and expressive range of Eldred Marshall.
  • December 7, 2025 – All-Star Christmas Concert: A festive holiday program with the Greenville Pops Orchestra, Tatiana Mayfield, and special guests.
  • February 6, 2026 – Retro Rewind: The Ultimate Mixtape: Symphonic renditions of pop and rock icons from the ‘70s and ‘80s, featuring artists like Queen, Elton John, and Madonna.
  • April 25, 2026 – Global Grooves with Dhaka Standard: A season finale blending jazz, folk, and fusion in a cross-cultural collaboration.

Other concerts throughout the season will feature chamber works by Brahms, Ravel, Jessie Montgomery, and contemporary innovators, highlighting the GCMS commitment to diverse and inclusive programming.

With support from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Oklahoma Arts Council, the Steger Piano Institute, and the Clark and Wanda Bass Foundation, the series underscores the power of collaboration between regional and national arts organizations.
