Biography: Mari Hajem is a Norwegian industrial pop artist. With an extraordinary band, she has found her own unique sound which is hard to describe but easy to listen to.
Mari is inspired by bands such as Coldplay, London Grammar and Muse. Started playing piano at the early age of 5, Mari has been performing around Oslo and Drammen ever since. In 2010 she won DNB Music Scholarship and supported many successful bands including Kings of Convenience, Monica Heldal, Frøder, Ingrid Olava, Matthew and Me and Ainda Duo and House Of Trees. Mari has performed at many festivals throughout Norway such as; Hove, Lierdagene, Jordbærfestivalen and Hokksunddagene, And she has performed at The Threshold festival, Sound City, and Marfest in the UK.
Mari has been noticed by Norwegian press: Arild Faeraas from Drammens Tidene said that “her voice must be one of the best and most interesting in this town” and according to Jon Vidar Bergan, music journalist, “Hajem has a great voice, a lovely confidence on stage and that little extra you need to make it to the top”.
