Huda Mustafa Reunites With Daughter After Love Island USA Finale: “Happiest Girls in the World”

NORTH CAROLINA — After a dramatic six-week journey on Love Island USA Season 7, finalist Huda Mustafa is finally home — and back in the arms of the person who matters most: her daughter, five-year-old Arleigh.
The 24-year-old single mom shared a touching reunion video on both Instagram Stories and TikTok, where she surprised her daughter after their emotional time apart. In the clip, she can be seen waking Arleigh gently, writing that they are the “happiest girls in the world” now that they’re back together. “We are both finally back from vacation at the same time,” Huda captioned the post, which was quickly reshared across fan accounts and media outlets including US Weekly.
A Journey Beyond the Villa
While Huda didn’t win the grand prize — that went to Amaya and Bryan — she made it to the final round and left the show with more than just airtime. As she told US Weekly, the experience helped her gain clarity, confidence, and new means to provide for her daughter.
“I grew so much as a person,” she said. “Now that Arleigh is older, I’ve learned how to navigate ambition and self-care without sacrificing my role as her mother.”
Staying Connected Through It All
Though filming took Huda to Fiji for over a month, she said she made sure Arleigh never felt far from her heart. In an exclusive interview, Huda revealed that she left behind voice notes, videos, and little gifts for her daughter to discover during their time apart.
She added that being a mother shouldn’t limit a woman’s dreams. “Being a mom doesn’t mean I stop dreaming. It means I dream bigger — for both of us,” Huda told US Weekly.
From Romance to Reality: Her Love Island Exit
Huda’s Love Island journey included rocky connections with both Jeremiah and Chris. After a brief flirtation with Chris Seeley — which ended in a dramatic “pancake drama” kiss — Huda chose to walk away from the show on her own terms.
In a candid reflection, she said she felt disrespected and emotionally drained. “I’m not going to fake something that doesn’t feel real,” she said, in a sentiment echoed by a Today report.
Her Post-Show Plans
Now back in North Carolina, Huda is shifting her focus toward family and career. With over 4 million Instagram followers and 5.4 million on TikTok, she says the platform gives her a way to support her daughter in ways she never imagined before.
And while fans continue asking if she’ll return to reality TV, Huda says for now, it’s about being present. “There’s power in choosing yourself,” she shared, “and right now, I choose being Arleigh’s mom first.”
