Huntsville Music Month Launches with Free LAUNCHPAD Concert Series This September

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Music lovers are gearing up for the third annual LAUNCHPAD concert series, set to take over Big Spring Park West from September 5–7 as part of Huntsville Music Month.
The three-night festival has quickly become a signature tradition, bringing together local, regional, and national artists across genres — from smooth jazz to indie rock, alternative, and Americana soul. The event is completely free and open to all ages.
A Month-Long Celebration of Music
The LAUNCHPAD series serves as the official kickoff to Huntsville Music Month, a citywide celebration running throughout September. The initiative highlights Huntsville’s creative economy and fosters connections between musicians, venues, music businesses, and fans.
“We’re proud to see LAUNCHPAD evolve into an annual tradition for music fans that shines a spotlight on Huntsville and the talent gracing our stages,” said Huntsville Music Officer Matt Mandrella. “This weekend sets the tone for a month dedicated to music discovery, collaboration, and community spirit.”
What to Expect at LAUNCHPAD 2025
Each night will feature a curated lineup on the Huntsville Music Office stage, delivering a high-energy, family-friendly concert experience. Organizers encourage attendees to bring their own chairs and blankets for a relaxed evening under the stars.
Mayor Tommy Battle praised the event’s role in building a vibrant, welcoming music ecosystem, saying, “Music is a part of what makes Huntsville not just a smart place, but a soulful one. LAUNCHPAD reflects our commitment to supporting local artists and bringing our community together.”
Who’s Behind the Event?
The LAUNCHPAD concert series is produced by the Huntsville Music Office with support from Huntsville Parks and Recreation, the Office of Multicultural Affairs, and Downtown Huntsville, Inc.
With its mix of genre-spanning performances, community spirit, and free admission, the festival offers something for everyone — whether you’re a diehard music fan or just looking for a lively way to spend the weekend.
