12th Annual Litchfield T.E.A.L.® Walk to Raise Awareness and Support for Ovarian Cancer Survivors

LITCHFIELD, CT – The 12th Annual Litchfield T.E.A.L.® Walk™ will take place on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the White Memorial Conservation Center’s Activity Field, bringing the community together to honor Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month and raise funds for survivors and research. Hosted by the Tell Every Amazing Lady® About Ovarian Cancer Louisa M. McGregor Ovarian Cancer Foundation, the event blends wellness, advocacy, and solidarity for those impacted by the disease.

A Walk with Purpose

Since its inception in 2009, the T.E.A.L.® Walk Program has been more than a fundraising event—it’s a public platform for education, early detection awareness, and survivor celebration. The foundation, named in honor of Louisa M. McGregor, works year-round to support families, promote research, and expand public understanding of ovarian cancer’s challenges.

Why This Cause Matters

Ovarian cancer has no accurate screening test, making awareness and early action essential. Funds raised through the Litchfield walk go toward research grants, survivor support services, and community education. Each participant directly contributes to expanding the organization’s reach and resources.

How to Participate

Whether you’re a survivor, family member, or supporter, there are several ways to get involved:

  • Join the in-person walk at the White Memorial Conservation Center.
  • Sign up for the T.E.A.L.® Walk Anywhere Package for remote participation.
  • Form a fundraising team or contribute individually through the official event page.
  • Volunteer on event day to help with logistics and participant support.

Even if you can’t attend, donations are welcomed year-round to sustain T.E.A.L.’s mission.

Building a Stronger Community

This year’s walk will also feature opportunities to connect with survivors, hear their stories, and learn about prevention and support programs. Organizers encourage participants to wear teal, the official color for ovarian cancer awareness, to show solidarity.
