Katy Perry Reveals Bloody Knee from Tour Mishap During ‘The Lifetimes Tour’

INGLEWOOD, CA — Touring might look glamorous from the front row, but Katy Perry just reminded fans that the road isn’t always sparkles and confetti. The pop star recently shared a behind-the-scenes look at her “Lifetimes Tour” — including a painful moment that left her with a bloody knee.
Behind the Glitter: Life on Tour Isn’t Always Pretty
In a recent Instagram post, Perry opened up about her daily life while traveling for her seventh studio album, 143. The photo carousel gave followers a peek into her routine, blending self-care, motherhood, and the energetic rhythm of concert life.
Among the glowing images of Perry biking, posing backstage, and performing in dazzling outfits, one candid photo stood out: her knee, visibly bruised and bloodied, propped on the edge of a bathtub.
“It was a slide-on-my-knees moment that usually makes them go ‘ahhh,’” Perry wrote in a message to a friend, adding with humor, “and it just made me go ‘arghh.’”
Memorable Mishaps and Heartfelt Moments
Perry’s Lifetimes Tour, which began in Mexico City this past April, has taken her across North America — including stops throughout the U.S. and Canada — and will soon head to Asia, with concerts scheduled in China and Japan later this year.
But the knee injury isn’t her only wild tour story. During a previous show, Perry narrowly avoided falling into the crowd after a butterfly stage prop malfunctioned mid-performance. And in another emotional moment, she stopped a concert after a fan named McKenna collapsed on stage.
Instead of rushing on, Perry paused the show, knelt beside the fan, and led a prayer on stage, asking for her full recovery: “…that McKenna will come back fully, brighter, and better than ever.”
Perry’s Tour Continues Despite Setbacks
Even with the bumps and bruises, Katy Perry’s tour continues to draw massive crowds and showcase her unwavering commitment to fans. Her stage theatrics, heartfelt moments, and openness about the less glamorous side of touring are resonating with concertgoers worldwide.
The 143 album’s supporting tour will resume this fall in Asia, including Hangzhou, Shanghai, and Tokyo — where fans can expect both the high notes and the human side of pop stardom.
