Louisville Teen Arrested After Two People Shot in Jacobs Neighborhood, Police Say
LOUISVILLE, KY — A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after two people were shot in Louisville’s Jacobs neighborhood last week, leaving a teenage girl and a male victim hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Two Victims Found at Separate Locations
Louisville Metro Police responded around 3:40 p.m. on Nov. 25 to the 3700 block of Craig Avenue for reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old girl who had suffered a graze wound.
A second victim — a male whose age was not immediately known — was discovered shortly after in the 3600 block of Wheeler Avenue with a gunshot wound to the leg.
Both victims were transported to UofL Hospital and were expected to recover.
Teen Suspect Arrested and Charged
LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis said the 15-year-old suspect was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the shooting. Investigators believe he played a role in both attacks.
He is now charged with:
- First-degree assault (complicity)
- Second-degree assault (complicity)
- First-degree wanton endangerment — discharge of a firearm
Police have not released additional details about a possible motive or whether more arrests are expected.
