Weber County Shooting Leaves Multiple Victims, Including Child, As Deputies Investigate

WEBER COUNTY, Utah — A chaotic scene unfolded in Weber County early Sunday morning when deputies responded to reports of a shooting that left three people injured, including a child, according to the Weber County Sheriff’s Office.
Multiple Victims Found At Chaotic Scene
Deputies were dispatched around 1 a.m. Sunday to the area of 9300 West 900 South, where a large gathering was breaking up and multiple vehicles were seen leaving the area quickly.
Upon arrival, officers located a man in his early 20s who had suffered a critical gunshot wound to the head. He was immediately airlifted to a hospital for emergency treatment.
A 5-year-old girl was also struck by gunfire, sustaining a wound to her leg and hip area. Her injuries were reported as non-life-threatening.
A second man was found with a gunshot wound to the shoulder and transported by ambulance. His injuries were also not considered life-threatening.
Sheriff’s Office: Investigation Still Developing
The Weber County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that detectives are actively interviewing witnesses and reviewing evidence in an effort to identify a suspect.
“Our detectives are currently speaking to all the witnesses that were in the area and are working to identify a suspect,” said Sgt. Paul Babinsky, via a social media update from the Weber County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities have not yet released details about a possible motive, and officials stressed that the investigation is still in its early stages.
“In these early stages, the authorities have kept a tight lid on information,” Sgt. Babinsky added.

The incident has shaken the Weber County community, raising concern about violence at late-night gatherings and the impact on children caught in the crossfire. Residents expressed unease as investigators continued their work into Sunday afternoon.
Deputies are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
