Wisconsin Fugitive Wanted for Failing to Register as Sex Offender Arrested After Two Years on the Run

PORT GIBSON, MISSISSIPPI — A Wisconsin fugitive who spent two years on the run has been captured in Port Gibson after police received a tip from authorities in Wisconsin regarding his location.

Officers Track Down Suspect Wanted on Felony Warrant

According to the Port Gibson Police Department, the Wisconsin Department of Correction contacted local authorities on May 2, 2024, requesting assistance in locating a man wanted on a felony warrant.

Investigators learned that the fugitive — 46-year-old Terral Randle — was believed to be staying at an address within the city.

Arrest Made Without Incident

Sgt. Investigator Carlton Phillips and Chief Russell Dorsey located Randle and placed him under arrest. Police say Randle had been evading authorities for two years while wanted for failure to register as a sex offender, a felony offense under Wisconsin law.

Randle was taken into custody without incident.

Fugitive Had Been Hiding in Port Gibson

Authorities confirmed that Randle had been living at a local address during his time as a fugitive. Police did not release details about how long he had been in Mississippi or whether he had connections to the area.

The Wisconsin Department of Correction is expected to handle extradition.
