18-Year-Old Shot in the Leg Outside Louisville Club, Police Say
LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY — An 18-year-old man is recovering in the hospital after being shot in the leg during a disturbance at a Louisville nightclub early Sunday morning.
According to the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD), the shooting happened around 1:12 a.m. on September 14 at Legends nightclub, located in the 2500 block of West Broadway.
Shooting Details
When officers arrived, they encountered a large crowd scattering outside the club following the gunfire. Police found the teen suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
He was taken to University of Louisville Hospital, where he is being treated for injuries that doctors believe are non-life-threatening.
Investigation Underway
The case has been assigned to the LMPD Non-Fatal Shooting Unit, which continues to review evidence and interview witnesses.
