53-Year-Old Baraboo Man Arrested After Police Find Child Pornography During Home Search

BARABOO, WISCONSIN — A 53-year-old man has been arrested after investigators reportedly found child pornography during a search of his Baraboo home, according to the Baraboo Police Department.

Authorities identified the suspect as Bert Green, who was taken into custody on Tuesday following a search conducted in the 1200 block of Silver Drive by the Sauk County Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

Search Warrant Leads to Digital Evidence Discovery

Police said the sexual crimes search warrant was executed as part of an ongoing investigation into online child exploitation. During the search, officers discovered digital evidence that allegedly linked Green to the possession of child pornography.

Officials said a charge of possession of child pornography has been referred to the Sauk County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.

State and Local Agencies Collaborate in Arrest

The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) assisted the Baraboo Police Department and the Sauk County ICAC Task Force in the operation.

Law enforcement agencies emphasized that collaborative efforts like these are crucial to protecting children and holding offenders accountable for online exploitation crimes.
