Live Nation Launches $30 Summer of Live Ticket Deal as Chicago Fans Get a Long List of Concert Bargains
CHICAGO, IL — Live Nation has kicked off a limited-time ticket sale that drops prices to $30 for thousands of concerts across the U.S. and Canada, and Chicago fans have plenty of options. The promotion, called Summer of Live, runs through May 5 or until inventory is gone.
The deal includes upfront fees in the advertised price, with applicable taxes added at checkout. Among the artists tied to the promotion are Kid Cudi, Tyler Childers, Kid Rock, The Pussycat Dolls and Tim McGraw.
Chicago gets a deep bench of concerts
The Chicago-area lineup stretches from spring into late fall, covering major venues such as United Center, Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre, Huntington Bank Pavilion, Allstate Arena, House of Blues Chicago, The Chicago Theatre and Rosemont Theatre.
Early highlights include Demi Lovato at United Center on May 1, Kid Rock at Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre on May 16, Kid Cudi on May 22, and Weird Al Yankovic at United Center on June 27. Later in the summer, fans can look for Zayn, Guns N’ Roses, Avenged Sevenfold and Good Charlotte, plus festival and arena dates that keep the calendar busy well into August and September.
How the promotion works
Live Nation says the lower price is designed to make live music more affordable and to boost attendance across the concert season. The company says all upfront fees are included in the $30 ticket cost, which makes the offer easier to compare with standard pricing.
Because the sale is limited, not every listed Chicago-area show will necessarily have tickets available at the promotional rate for long. The company also says more dates could be added as the campaign continues.
What fans should do next
Anyone hoping to score a bargain is advised to check LiveNation.com/SummerofLive before the sale ends on May 5. After that, remaining tickets will return to regular pricing, and the best seats are likely to move first.
For Chicago concertgoers, the promo offers a rare chance to plan ahead for a packed summer and fall lineup without paying full price on at least some of the biggest names heading to town.
