ROSEMONT, IL — Garth Brooks has added another Chicago stop to his Blame It All On My Roots tour, turning the market into a four-show run at Allstate Arena in Rosemont. The new date gives fans one more chance to catch the retro arena production after tickets moved fast.
The newly added opening night is Thursday, Sept. 10. It joins the originally announced shows on Friday, Sept. 11, Saturday, Sept. 12, and a Sunday, Sept. 13 matinee finale.
Why the Chicago run keeps growing
The Chicago expansion follows the same pattern Brooks used for the tour’s launch in Indianapolis, where demand pushed the opening from two shows to four. According to the source article, nearly 400,000 fans entered the Ticketmaster queue for those tickets.
Brooks is rolling out the arena tour city by city instead of releasing a full itinerary all at once, adding performances when demand justifies it. That approach has become part of the story as much as the concerts themselves.
The Drum Pod returns for a nostalgic arena setup
The tour is built around Brooks’ signature in-the-round Drum Pod, a stage concept he first used on his 1996 world tour. The production is meant to bring fans closer to the show and recreate the feel of his earlier arena years.
