NEW YORK, NY — Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially married, bringing their headline-grabbing relationship to a new milestone after nearly a year of engagement. A representative for Swift confirmed the wedding took place July 3 in New York City.

The ceremony included some unexpected star power behind the scenes. Actor and comedian Adam Sandler officiated, while Swift’s brother, Austin, served as her man of honor and Kelce’s brother, Jason, stood as best man.

From a missed bracelet to a public romance

The wedding capped a courtship that began playing out in public in 2023. Kelce first said he tried to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number after attending one of her Eras Tour shows at Arrowhead Stadium, though the two did not meet that night.

Swift later appeared at her first Chiefs game in September 2023, sitting with Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce, and the sightings quickly set off dating speculation. By November, Kelce confirmed they were together, and Swift soon said they had started dating shortly after he “put [her] on blast” on his podcast.

A relationship built in public, from stadiums to stages

Over the next two years, the couple mixed football Sundays with tour stops and award shows. Swift attended the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVIII win in February 2024, then Kelce later popped up onstage during her Eras Tour stop in London in June 2024.

The pair also shared major milestones off the field and off the stage, including Swift’s 35th birthday celebration, Kelce’s Instagram post that made their relationship public on his feed, and Swift’s appearance on his New Heights podcast, where she also announced The Life of a Showgirl.

The wedding brought celebrity arrivals and custom fashion

Swift and Kelce both wore custom Dior looks for the ceremony, and about 1,000 invited guests were expected, according to sources who spoke to ABC News. The guest list and arrivals reflected the couple’s overlap between music, sports and Hollywood.

Among those photographed arriving at Madison Square Garden were Hugh Grant, Abby Wambach, Cooper Kupp, Benson Boone, Ethan Hawke and Jason Sudeikis. The wedding follows months of appearances together, including the Songwriters Hall of Fame and Kelce’s Tight End University concert in Nashville, where Swift performed “Love Story.”
