Ohio Woman Wanted After Kicking Down Boyfriend’s Door and Cutting His Testicle With ‘Unknown Instrument,’ Police Say
TOLEDO, OHIO — Police in Toledo have issued a warrant for the arrest of a 45-year-old woman accused of kicking down her boyfriend’s door and assaulting him with an unknown object, leaving him hospitalized with a lacerated testicle, according to court documents.
Authorities identified the suspect as Jeanita Hopings, who now faces charges of felonious assault and aggravated burglary in connection with the violent encounter that unfolded Tuesday night on the city’s west side.
Violent Break-In Reported by Toledo Police
According to court filings obtained by Law&Crime, Hopings allegedly “kicked open the front door” of her boyfriend’s home while holding an “unknown instrument” that she later used to attack him.
The victim told police that he was not wearing any clothes when he heard the noise and went to investigate, only to find Hopings forcing her way inside.
“The suspect knowingly and forcefully broke into the residence without permission or consent,” police wrote in the affidavit.
Victim Sustained Severe Injury
Investigators say Hopings used the object to cut the victim’s testicle sac, leaving a wound that required immediate medical attention.
The injury was described in court documents as a “laceration exposing the testicle”, with police noting that the victim’s wound was “clearly visible” when they arrived.
The man was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. His current condition has not been publicly released.
Suspect Still at Large
Toledo police confirmed that Hopings fled the scene after the assault and remains wanted on felony charges.
Authorities say she and the victim were in a relationship, but did not live together. No clear motive has been identified, and investigators have not determined what object was used in the attack.
“We’re urging anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact Toledo Police or Crime Stoppers immediately,” said a department spokesperson.
Hopings’ last known social media activity was a Facebook post Monday night, just hours before the violent incident.
The investigation remains ongoing as officers continue searching for Hopings. For updates on this developing story and other crime reports across the Midwest, visit ChicagoMusicGuide.com.
