64-Year-Old Man Killed in Tragic Tractor Accident at Rural Rudolph Home

RUDOLPH, WISCONSIN — A 64-year-old man was killed in a tragic tractor accident at a home near Rudolph on Saturday afternoon, according to the Wood County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies said they received a 911 call around 1:41 p.m. reporting an unresponsive person found in a driveway at a residence on Greenfield Avenue, just south of Rudolph. When first responders arrived, they determined that the man was already deceased and that his death appeared to be the result of an accidental incident involving a tractor.

Victim Identified as Local Resident

Authorities identified the victim as Montie Kramer, 64, of Rudolph. Officials believe the fatal incident occurred when the victim was working around or operating the tractor before somehow becoming trapped or struck by it.

The Wood County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that the case remains under investigation, though no foul play is suspected.

“This appears to be a tragic accident,” a sheriff’s spokesperson said in a statement. “Our condolences go out to the family during this difficult time.”
