Texas Woman Accused of Murder After Running Over Husband Following Argument, Police Say

PASADENA, TEXAS — A Texas woman is facing murder charges after allegedly running over her husband with a black Chevrolet Tahoe following a domestic argument, according to the Pasadena Police Department.

The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday on Red Bluff Road near Southmore Avenue, where witnesses reported seeing a black SUV speeding away from the scene after striking a pedestrian walking along the sidewalk.

Emergency crews responded quickly and found the 42-year-old victim critically injured. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but did not survive, authorities confirmed.

Police Say Wife Confessed to Fatal Hit-and-Run

By Monday, homicide detectives had identified the suspect as the victim’s 37-year-old wife, who was arrested and charged with murder. Investigators say the deadly incident occurred shortly after the couple got into an argument at their home.

According to police, the husband left the house on foot following the dispute, and moments later, his wife allegedly got behind the wheel of her SUV and ran him down before fleeing the scene at high speed.

“Through the course of the investigation, it was determined this was not an accident but an intentional act,” Pasadena police said in a public statement.

The woman has been booked into the Harris County Jail, where she awaits formal processing and arraignment. Her identity has not yet been publicly released pending further investigation.

Community Shocked by Domestic Tragedy

Residents in the area expressed disbelief over the fatal confrontation that turned deadly. Police said the couple had no prior reports of domestic violence, but investigators are reviewing their background as part of the ongoing case.

Detectives continue to gather evidence, including surveillance footage from nearby businesses, to piece together the moments leading up to the crash.
