PILOT OAK, KENTUCKY — A 52-year-old motorcyclist from Tennessee has died following a car vs. motorcycle crash in Graves County on Saturday morning, according to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Kentucky Highway 94 and Kentucky 129 in the Pilot Oak community when a 2017 Toyota Corolla collided with a 2002 Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Investigators said Jose Ruiz, 26, of Union City, Tennessee, was traveling east on KY 94 West when he stopped at the intersection and attempted to make a left turn onto KY 129. During the turn, his vehicle collided with the motorcycle driven by Ronald Minor, 52, of Puryear, Tennessee.

Ruiz and his passenger were not injured in the collision. The Graves County Sheriff’s Office expressed condolences to the Minor family following the fatal crash.

The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by the Kentucky State Police, local EMS, and fire departments.

The crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine whether speed, visibility, or other factors contributed to the collision.
