Racine Triple Arrest: Three Men Charged in Deadly Wisconsin Shooting That Sparked Retaliatory Gang Killing

RACINE, WISCONSIN — Police have arrested three men in connection with a fatal shooting earlier this month that investigators believe sparked a retaliatory killing two days later in Racine. Authorities say both crimes may be tied to gang activity in the area.

According to the Racine Police Department, the suspects — 26-year-old Isaiah McGlorn, 25-year-old Chihene Davis, and 24-year-old Zharon Smith — were taken into custody this week following coordinated arrest operations across Racine County.

Two Killings, Days Apart

The investigation stems from a November 1 homicide that occurred shortly after 4 a.m. in the 400 block of 10th Street in Racine. The victim, identified as 26-year-old Cier Tye-Pearson, was found fatally shot at the scene.

Two days later, on November 3, 25-year-old Jaquon Calhoun was gunned down inside the Chicken Palace restaurant — an act police believe was retaliation for Tye-Pearson’s murder.

Detectives said both killings involved individuals connected to local groups or gangs, describing the incidents as “targeted attacks.”

Three Suspects Face Homicide Charges

Police executed simultaneous search warrants on Thursday, arresting McGlorn and Davis. Smith was apprehended Friday in nearby Caledonia.

Each suspect now faces serious felony charges tied to the murder of Cier Tye-Pearson, including:

  • Isaiah McGlorn & Chihene Davis:
    • First-Degree Intentional Homicide
    • Attempted First-Degree Intentional Homicide
    • Felon in Possession of a Firearm
    • Multiple counts of Felony Bail Jumping
  • Zharon Smith:
    • First-Degree Intentional Homicide (Party to a Crime)
    • Attempted First-Degree Intentional Homicide (Party to a Crime)
    • Misdemeanor Bail Jumping

Police have not yet announced charges in connection with the Calhoun homicide, which remains under active investigation.

Police Chief Vows Accountability

Racine Police Chief Alexander Ramirez issued a firm statement following the arrests, assuring residents that law enforcement is determined to crack down on violent offenders.

“If you choose to do harm to our community, we will find you. We will arrest you. You will face the full consequences of your actions,” Chief Ramirez said.

Officials praised the work of major crimes investigators, who acted quickly to secure warrants and coordinate arrests across multiple locations.
