Texas Teen Girl Shot and Run Over After House Party Fight; 18-Year-Old Suspect Still on the Run, Deputies Say

ATASCOSA, TEXAS — Authorities in Texas are searching for an 18-year-old man accused of gunning down a 17-year-old girl outside a house party, then jumping into a pickup truck that ran over her body before speeding away. Deputies say the suspect has been on the loose for more than six weeks.

Deputies Say Chaos Erupted After House Party Fight Before Gunfire

According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, people had gathered at a home on the 13000 block of Luckey Road on Sept. 28 for a late-night party. Around 2 a.m., a fight broke out among attendees and spilled into the street.

Moments later, deputies say “gunfire erupted,” striking 17-year-old Alianna Ujueta in the head.

First responders found the teen lying in the roadway with a fatal injury.

A witness reported that a dark-colored pickup truck suddenly accelerated through the area, running over the teen’s body before fleeing the scene — a detail investigators are still working to fully piece together.

18-Year-Old Suspect Named Nearly Two Months Later

Nearly two months after the killing, authorities identified 18-year-old Deshawn Suggs as the alleged shooter. He is now wanted for murder and remains at large.

Deputies recovered multiple items from the scene including:

  • Clothing
  • Jewelry
  • Spent shell casings

Investigators have not revealed what evidence directly tied Suggs to the shooting, but the sheriff’s office says the identification came after extensive review of physical items and witness statements.

Suggs also faces additional unrelated charges, including:

  • Unlawful carrying of a weapon (stemming from an incident nine days before the shooting)
  • Burglary
  • Robbery
  • Terroristic threat (from a February case)

Family of the Teen Victim Grieves an Unthinkable Loss

Ujueta’s family described the teen as loving, protective, and deeply connected to those around her.

Her older brother told reporters that she “would want to be remembered by the love that she had for her family.”

Her sister added:

“We’re missing her. It’s really hard.”

Deputies say the investigation is active, and efforts to locate Suggs remain ongoing as the community waits for justice for a young life cut tragically short.

The loss of a young life sends shockwaves through any community, and stories like Alianna’s underscore how quickly violence can shatter families. For more developing updates and community-centered coverage, keep following ChicagoMusicGuide.com.
