Florida Teen Arrested After Dragging Two Women by Their Hair in College Bar Bathroom Fight and Punching Employee Escorting Her Outside
GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA — An 18-year-old Florida woman has been arrested after police say she dragged two women to the ground by their hair during a violent bathroom fight at a college bar, then punched a female employee who attempted to escort her out of the building. Sierra Halton Lindberg faces three assault charges after two separate police reports documented a series of late-night altercations on Nov. 1 at UF Plaza, a nightlife hub near the University of Florida.
Bathroom Fight Leaves Two Women Injured
According to the first probable cause affidavit, the confrontation began shortly after midnight inside a bathroom stall. The first victim said Lindberg “came in, grabbed [her] by the hair and pulled her to the ground.” Officers noted clumps of the victim’s hair missing on the right side of her head.
A second woman who witnessed the attack told officers she saw Lindberg yank the first victim down, prompting a physical fight. When she stepped in to break it up, Lindberg allegedly grabbed her by the hair as well, dragged her down, and kneed her in the stomach. Police said the second victim had a bloodstain in her hair while giving her statement.
Suspect Claims She Was Attacked First
During a post-Miranda interview, Lindberg claimed she was exiting the bathroom when the two women came in and one “grabbed her by the hair.” She said she retaliated by grabbing the other woman’s hair, insisting, “they hit me first,” though officers noted that witness accounts did not support her version of events.
Employee Escorting Her Out Was Also Assaulted
As Lindberg was being removed from the bar by a female staff member, police say she initiated a second attack. The employee told officers she was instructed to remove Lindberg’s wristband when the teen allegedly punched her in the head and face with a closed fist.
Lindberg then allegedly grabbed the worker’s hair, pulling her to the ground in a continuation of the earlier violence. Multiple witnesses confirmed that Lindberg struck the employee in the face.
When questioned about the third victim, Lindberg reportedly said, “She pulled me somewhere I didn’t like, so I hit her.”
Released Pending Court Appearance
Lindberg — listed as a student in police records — was booked and later released on her own recognizance. Authorities have not yet confirmed her scheduled court date.
