Beloit Man Facing Multiple Child Sexual Assault Charges Begins Jury Trial Monday in Rock County
BELOIT, WISCONSIN — A 26-year-old Beloit man charged in two separate child sexual assault cases is set to begin jury trial proceedings Monday, according to Rock County court records.
Jury Selection Begins in Two Separate Child Sexual Assault Cases
The defendant, Isaiah Washington, faces two felony cases involving minors.
- One case, filed May 20, 2024, charges him with second-degree sexual assault of a child.
- A second case, filed May 6, 2025, accuses him of first-degree sexual assault of a child under the age of 13, one of Wisconsin’s most serious criminal offenses.
Both cases are scheduled to proceed with jury selection Monday morning in Rock County Circuit Court.
Additional Criminal Cases Also Pending Against Washington
Court records show Washington is simultaneously scheduled for a status conference Monday on three other open cases, as well as an initial appearance on a newly filed case.
His criminal history over the last year includes several serious charges:
- May 2024:
- Felony attempted strangulation
- Five misdemeanor counts including battery, disorderly conduct, property damage, obstruction, and marijuana possession
- August 2024:
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- February and October 2025:
- Battery by prisoners in two separate incidents
These additional cases could factor into his court schedule as prosecutors and defense attorneys navigate multiple pending matters.
Child Sexual Assault Charges Carry Severe Penalties
The charges Washington faces, especially the first-degree sexual assault of a child under 13, carry potential decades of prison time if he is convicted. Wisconsin law mandates serious penalties for crimes involving minors, and jurors will be presented with evidence spanning multiple incidents.
Rock County prosecutors have not released further details about the alleged assaults.
