Bolingbrook Man Charged With Hiding Cameras in Naperville Gym Bathrooms

NAPERVILLE, ILLINOIS – A Bolingbrook man has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies after police say he secretly placed hidden cameras in the bathrooms of a Naperville gym.

Discovery at Title Boxing Club

The case began on March 22, when an employee at Title Boxing Club, located at 4003 Plainfield-Naperville Road, discovered small cameras concealed in two of the facility’s bathrooms. After reviewing the evidence, detectives launched a full investigation to identify who was behind the recordings.

Police later determined that 47-year-old Erick Palacios, a gym member at the time, was responsible.

Multiple Felony Charges Filed

Authorities say Palacios is facing 11 felony counts of unauthorized video recording and live video transmission, one for each victim identified in the investigation.

During a search of Palacios’ Bolingbrook home, police seized electronic devices containing images and videos believed to have been captured between January and March of this year.

Suspect in Custody

Palacios turned himself in to law enforcement on Sunday and was booked into the Will County Jail. Naperville Police confirmed the charges and said the investigation remains ongoing to determine if additional victims exist.

This troubling case underscores the importance of vigilance in public spaces and the role of quick reporting by employees and patrons in bringing such actions to light. Stay connected with ChicagoMusicGuide.com for updates on this case and other community safety stories across Illinois.
