Dallas–Fort Worth Weather: Cool Sunday With Isolated Showers Before 90s Return Midweek

DALLAS, Texas — North and Central Texas are enjoying a cooler Sunday with highs in the low 80s and a chance of isolated showers, before a warming trend sends the Dallas–Fort Worth area back into the 90s by midweek, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.

Isolated Showers on Sunday

A weak disturbance is triggering 20–30% rain chances in communities like Waco and Killeen.

“A stray thunderclap cannot be ruled out,” forecasters noted, while emphasizing that no severe storms are expected.

Heat Builds Back By Monday

Starting Monday, a high-pressure system will push temperatures higher while eliminating rain chances.

“By midweek, highs will climb into the 90s, with Dallas–Fort Worth reaching the mid-90s by Thursday and Friday,” meteorologists explained.

This forecast was echoed in the Dallas Morning News, which reported that September warmth is set to make a quick return across North Texas.
