De Pere Teen Leads Police on Wild Multi-County Chase Through Wisconsin, Nearly Hits Detective Before Dramatic Arrest in Reeseville

DODGE COUNTY, WISCONSIN — A 19-year-old woman from De Pere was taken into custody Thursday afternoon after leading police on a high-speed chase through three Wisconsin counties, authorities said.

The suspect, identified as Isabella Bomske, was pursued by multiple law enforcement agencies across Winnebago, Fond du Lac, and Dodge counties before being captured near Reeseville.

Pursuit Spanned Three Counties

According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, the incident began around 1:45 p.m. when the department was notified about a vehicle involved in multiple pursuits across northeast Wisconsin.

The first chase started in Winnebago County after a Wisconsin State Patrol trooper attempted to stop Bomske’s vehicle. The pursuit continued into Fond du Lac County, where deputies briefly engaged before losing sight of the car near the Dodge County line.

The vehicle was later spotted in Juneau and then heading toward Beaver Dam, prompting another pursuit led by Beaver Dam police. However, officers again lost visual contact when the suspect fled south on County G.

Deputies Narrowed Search in Reeseville

During the chase, a Dodge County detective narrowly avoided being hit as Bomske allegedly swerved recklessly to evade stop sticks, officials said.

Multiple squad cars were then deployed across the area as deputies coordinated a search. A tip from a local resident helped track the suspect’s car to a trailer park in Reeseville, where it was seen abandoned.

Minutes later, another witness reported that the suspects had run out of a field and into a second vehicle nearby. Deputies intercepted that vehicle and arrested Bomske and another occupant without further incident.

Charges Pending Across Counties

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Bomske faces charges of:

  • Reckless endangerment of safety, and
  • Operating without a valid driver’s license.

Officials added that additional charges are expected in Winnebago and Fond du Lac counties for knowingly fleeing law enforcement.

Sheriff Dale Schmidt praised the coordination among multiple agencies and the quick action of residents who reported sightings that led to the arrest.

“This was an excellent example of community awareness and multi-agency cooperation,” Schmidt said in a statement.
