Employee Dies After Workplace Accident at Johnson Controls Facility in Marinette

MARINETTE, WISCONSIN — An employee at Johnson Controls’ Industrial Parkway facility has died following a workplace accident, the company confirmed in a statement released Monday.

Officials with Tyco, a subsidiary of Johnson Controls, said they were “deeply saddened” by the loss and are cooperating with local authorities as an investigation into the fatal incident continues.

“We are deeply saddened that one of our colleagues passed away Monday as the result of an accident at our Industrial Parkway facility in Marinette,” a company spokesperson said. “We offer our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of our teammate. An investigation into the incident is underway, and we are fully cooperating with the authorities.”

The company added that support resources have been made available to employees impacted by the tragedy.

Investigation Underway

Local authorities have not yet released further details about the nature of the accident or the identity of the employee involved. Johnson Controls cited privacy reasons for withholding the worker’s name and specific information about the incident.

Officials said the company is working closely with workplace safety investigators to determine what led to the fatal accident.

“We are also making resources available to those involved,” the company added in its statement.
