Former Hudson Elementary Teacher Pleads Guilty to Child Sex Crimes, Sentencing Set for December
HUDSON, Wisconsin — A 25-year-old former elementary school teacher in Hudson has pleaded guilty to multiple sex crimes involving a child, prosecutors confirmed this week.
The teacher, Madison Bergmann, admitted to one count of child enticement and two counts of sexual misconduct by school staff. Several other charges were dismissed under the plea agreement, including first-degree sexual assault of a child, use of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime, and exposing a child to harmful descriptions.
Details of the Case
According to charging documents, Bergmann and the child exchanged texts and calls almost daily. The victim told investigators they had kissed multiple times and had conversations about sex.
The inappropriate relationship allegedly began while Bergmann was working in the Hudson school system.
Sentencing Scheduled
Bergmann is scheduled to be sentenced on December 22. She faces significant prison time, as Wisconsin law treats sex crimes by school staff as serious felonies.
Co-Worker Also Facing Charges
Authorities also revealed that another Hudson school employee, Abigail Faust, is facing charges for inappropriate relationships with children. Faust allegedly engaged with a child she was nannying in Washington County.
The guilty plea brings closure to a troubling case that has shaken the Hudson community. Parents and officials continue to call for stronger protections for students and accountability for staff entrusted with their care.
