FRANKFORT, KY — A man has been arrested in connection with a double shooting at a local apartment complex that left two victims critically injured. Officials have now confirmed the suspect is facing a murder charge.

Police said the incident occurred on Sunday evening at an apartment on Ashwood Court. When officers arrived, they discovered two victims — a juvenile and an adult man — suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were rushed to UK Hospital in Lexington and listed in critical condition.

Authorities later confirmed that 27-year-old Makale Marks was taken into custody in connection with the shooting.
