Human Remains Found Inside Owensboro Garage During Weekend Cleanup, Police Investigating
OWENSBORO, KENTUCKY — Police are investigating a grisly discovery after human remains were found inside a detached garage in Owensboro over the weekend. Authorities say a woman cleaning out the structure made the shocking find on Sunday afternoon, prompting an immediate police response.
According to the Owensboro Police Department, officers were called to a home in the 500 block of Hathaway Street just before noon on October 5 for what was described as a “suspicious circumstance.”
Woman Cleaning Garage Makes Shocking Discovery
Investigators said the woman had been cleaning out the garage when she stumbled upon the remains. Police arriving at the scene confirmed the discovery and reported that the body appeared to be in an advanced state of decomposition, suggesting it had been there for some time.
