Kentucky Man Arrested After Stabbing Brother With Scissors in Richmond

RICHMOND, Kentucky — A Kentucky man is in custody after police say he broke into his brother’s home and stabbed him in the testicles with scissors during a violent early morning attack.
Police: Suspect Broke Into Brother’s Home
According to an arrest citation, the incident happened around 2 a.m. on August 3, when Justin Dean, of Richmond, entered his brother’s home without permission.
The victim told investigators he awoke to find Dean standing over him in his bedroom.
Scissors Attack and Violent Struggle
Authorities say Dean immediately began stabbing his brother with scissors, targeting his testicles. A physical fight then broke out, during which Dean allegedly placed his brother in a chokehold.
The victim reported he nearly lost consciousness before managing to break free and escape.
Charges Filed
Dean was arrested Friday and is facing multiple felony charges, including:
- Burglary
- Strangulation
- Assault
He is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
The case remains under investigation, with police working to determine what led to the violent family dispute.
