Kentucky Police Hunt for Woman Accused in Morgan County Stabbing; Victim Hospitalized
MOON, KENTUCKY — The Kentucky State Police (KSP) are actively searching for a 35-year-old woman accused of stabbing a man during a violent altercation Tuesday afternoon in Morgan County.
According to a statement from KSP, troopers responded to reports of a stabbing in the Moon community around 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday. When officers arrived, they found a male victim suffering from a laceration to the inside of his leg.
Paramedics treated the man at the scene before he was transported to a local hospital for further care. His condition has not been publicly released.
Suspect Identified and Warrant Issued
Investigators have identified the suspect as Alliana “Jade” Gevedon, of West Liberty, who is now wanted on an active arrest warrant in connection with the attack.
Authorities have not disclosed what led up to the stabbing or whether Gevedon and the victim knew each other, but the investigation remains ongoing.
“Kentucky State Police have obtained an arrest warrant for 35-year-old Alliana ‘Jade’ Gevedon of West Liberty,” officials confirmed Tuesday evening.
Police Ask for Public’s Help
KSP is urging anyone with information about Gevedon’s whereabouts to contact Post 8 Morehead at 606-784-4127.
Troopers have not said whether they believe Gevedon is still in the Morgan County area but warned residents to use caution and report any suspicious activity immediately.
The stabbing marks one of several violent incidents reported in the eastern Kentucky region this week as law enforcement agencies continue to address rising domestic and assault-related cases.
