Kentucky Woman Investigated After Attempted Break-In Reports in Salem

SALEM, KENTUCKY — Deputies in Livingston County are investigating a series of attempted break-in reports that prompted multiple 911 calls over the weekend. Authorities are asking for public assistance as they review evidence and gather details.

Officials said 49-year-old Heather Myers was identified in connection with the incidents, which occurred on September 14, 2025.

Reports of Attempted Break-Ins

According to investigators, Myers was allegedly seen banging on doors and attempting to enter homes in the Salem area. Concerned residents contacted authorities, who quickly dispatched deputies to the scene.

Deputy Zackary Dunigan of the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation.

Medical Treatment and Ongoing Case

After her arrest, Myers was taken to Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital for evaluation and treatment. Details about her condition have not been released.

Officials have not yet confirmed whether formal charges will be filed but said the case remains under review.
