According to the Lexington Police Department, officers were dispatched around 9:45 a.m. to the 4500 block of Nicholasville Road following reports that the school had received a threatening message.
As a precaution, law enforcement evacuated the building and conducted a full sweep of the property with specialized explosive-detection units.

After a thorough inspection, police confirmed that no hazardous or explosive devices were located at the school.
By midday, the area surrounding Nicholasville Road was reopened to traffic, and school officials confirmed that all students and staff were safe.
