Lollapalooza 2019 – That’s a Wrap, for now

It seems that as quickly as Lollapalooza started, it has now ended and all the bands that have performed are all just fond memories now.
One of the places at Lollapalooza that I had not gotten to check out due to the very long lines was the American Eagle, next to Buckingham Fountain, so, we made it a point to get there just before the gates opened. American Eagle offers a unique and fun experience for guests to explore an immersive space while having some fun at the same time.
You first are brought to a screen and asked to select three adjectives that best describe what music means to you. Upon selecting, a room is chosen for you and in our case, yellow was the color (shine on). From there, they offer the guests press on tattoos and some photos and if you signed up while in line, you can claim a free fanny pack that you can customize, if you so desire. I was told that people have waited in line for as long as an hour for this, so, next year, plan ahead, get there first.
Having connected with artist, Maju Trevejo initially on Instagram before I even knew who she was, I was most interested in seeing her performance once I learned she would be at Lollapalooza. This sixteen year old internet star pretty much found her fame through instagram by showcasing her singing and dancing and it paid off for her tenfold. Her set began with DJ Susie spinning some great tunes and warming up the audience and was joined by Malu’s backup dancers freestyle dancing and elevated the excitement even further.
Her arrival on stage was met with the high pitched screams from her very dedicated fans. Her performance, well choreographed and the music, light and very danceable no matter what style of music you typically listen to. There were people pouring in and dancing at the same time as they made their way closer to Tito’s stage, her music is addicting and intoxicating. Those who were at the performance all loved it!
Up next was Bayonne, an artist whom I’ve wanted to see live for some time, so, this was a treat indeed. You can read the full review here.
Unfortunately, I had to depart after my interview with Bayonne, but check out our gallery section for more live photos from day 4 of Lollapalooza 2019! I hope you made the most of your time at Lollapalooza, saw everyone you wanted to see, and made use of a lot of the extra areas that Lollapalooza offers. If not, there is always next year!
Until then!
Dennis
