Louisville Woman Arrested After Fatal Double Shooting Near Okolona Apartment Complex

LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY — A 22-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a double homicide that occurred last month near Okolona, Louisville Metro Police confirmed on Monday.
The suspect, identified as Jazmine Brown, was taken into custody and charged with two counts of complicity to murder and receiving stolen property of a firearm following a deadly shooting inside an apartment on Napa Valley Court.
What Happened Inside the Okolona Apartment
According to Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) spokesperson John Bradley, officers responded to reports of multiple gunshots just before 10:30 a.m. on September 29.
The apartment complex, located off South Park Road near Blue Lick Road, became the scene of chaos as witnesses reported hearing rapid gunfire and seeing “several people running from the scene.”
When officers entered the apartment, they found two young men dead from multiple gunshot wounds. Their identities have not yet been released pending official notification of family.
Investigation Leads to Arrest of Jazmine Brown
After weeks of investigation, homicide detectives charged Brown with playing a role in the killings. Police say her charges of complicity to murder indicate she allegedly aided or participated in the crime rather than pulling the trigger herself.
Brown is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections. Detectives have not ruled out additional arrests as the investigation continues.
“This case remains active, and our detectives are following up on every lead,” an LMPD spokesperson said in a Monday update.
Community Urged to Come Forward
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the deadly shooting or others in the area to come forward.
