Man Shot and Killed Inside Louisville Home; Teen Suspect Arrested on Murder Charge, Police Say
LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY — One man is dead and a teenage boy is facing multiple charges after a fatal shooting Friday afternoon in Louisville’s Parkland neighborhood. Louisville Metro Police responded to the 1400 block of Catalpa Street shortly after 3 p.m. on reports of a shooting, officials said.
When officers arrived, they found a man — described only as an adult male — suffering from a gunshot wound inside a home. EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.
Teen Suspect Charged With Murder and Weapons Offenses
By Friday evening, detectives arrested a male juvenile, referred to by LMPD as “TB,” in connection with the killing. Because he is a minor, his identity has not been released.
Police say the teenage suspect is charged with:
- Murder
- Fleeing or evading police
- Possession of a handgun by a minor
- Carrying a concealed weapon
Investigators have not shared a possible motive or what led up to the shooting.
