Mariah Carey Announces New Album ‘Here for It All’ — Her First in Seven Years

CHICAGO — After years of speculation and subtle social media teases, Mariah Carey is officially back. The music icon has announced her new album “Here for It All”, set to release on September 26, 2025 via independent label Gamma.
The Grammy-winning vocalist made the announcement through a stylized video teaser, posted to her social media accounts on Monday morning. The video ends with Carey singing a line from the title track, “Here for It All,” giving fans their first true taste of what’s to come.
A Return to Her Roots — With New Collaborators
“Here for It All” is Mariah Carey’s first studio album in seven years, following 2018’s Caution, which was released under Epic Records. The new project is shaping up to be both nostalgic and forward-facing.
Carey dropped the album’s first single “Type Dangerous” back in June — a throwback jam co-written and co-produced with Anderson .Paak that samples Eric B. & Rakim’s “Eric B. Is President.” The song’s video even features a surprise cameo by MrBeast.
While the full tracklist hasn’t been confirmed, Carey has hinted online that her next single may be called “Sugar Sweet.”
New Label, New Energy
“Here for It All” will be Carey’s first release under Gamma, the independent music company launched in 2023 by former Apple Music executive Larry Jackson. The project will also mark a major collaboration with L.A. Reid, who is serving as executive producer via his new firm Mega.
“It’s a game changer for both Gamma and Mariah,” Reid told Forbes. “She’s a premier star joining forces with a self-contained company not associated with any of the major labels.”
Carey herself has expressed excitement about curating her next musical chapter, telling Variety in 2024:
“I’ve written some new songs… I have to figure out which songs I’m going to do and which songs I’m not going to do. But I think I’m very excited about it.”
Last Album Recap: ‘Caution’ Era in 2018
Mariah’s previous album Caution featured collaborations with high-profile producers like Skrillex, Mustard, No I.D., and Timbaland, and produced singles such as:
- “With You”
- “A No No”
- “Portrait”
While critically praised, the album marked the tail-end of her run with a major label. Now, with Here for It All, she’s venturing into a more independent and hands-on creative process.
