Milwaukee Police Investigating After 11-Year-Old Killed in Northwest Side Shooting
MILWAUKEE, Wis. — An 11-year-old child was killed in a shooting Monday night on Milwaukee’s northwest side, according to the Milwaukee Police Department.
Police reported they were called to the 5500 block of North 68th Street around 6:45 p.m. Monday for a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they located the child suffering from gunshot injuries. The victim was transported to Children’s Wisconsin, where they were later pronounced dead.
Investigation Underway
Authorities said the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under active investigation. It has not yet been confirmed whether any suspects are in custody, and police have not released additional details about what may have led to the deadly incident.
Investigators are reviewing evidence and canvassing the area for information that could provide leads in the case.
