Milwaukee Police Investigating After 15-Year-Old Girl Found Shot Dead on Sidewalk

MILWAUKEE, WI — A 15-year-old girl was shot and killed Sunday night on a city sidewalk, marking one of Milwaukee’s latest homicides in what police say has been a violent year.
Shooting on N. 76th and Silver Spring
According to the Milwaukee Police Department, officers responded to reports of a person shot around 10:30 p.m. Sunday near North 76th Street and West Silver Spring Drive.
When police arrived, they found the victim, later identified as 15-year-old Azoria R. Jones, suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigation Underway
Police said detectives are actively investigating what led up to the gunfire.
As of Monday, no suspects are in custody. Authorities have not yet shared a possible motive.
