Milwaukee Woman Reported Missing After Leaving Hospital Found Safe, Police Announce

MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN — Milwaukee police say a 47-year-old woman who was reported missing and endangered over the weekend has been located safely. Latasha Gatlin was reported missing on Saturday after she walked away from Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center and did not return.

Authorities issued a public alert asking residents to help locate her after she was last seen on Friday, Nov. 28 around 1 p.m. near 29th and Oklahoma.

Police Release Detailed Description Before She Was Found

Before confirming she had been found safe, the Milwaukee Police Department shared a detailed description of Gatlin in hopes the public could assist in locating her.

Police said Gatlin is:

  • Black female
  • 47 years old
  • 5’07” tall
  • Approximately 200 lbs
  • Brown eyes
  • Black hair styled in a bun

She was last seen wearing:

  • Blue/brown North Face windbreaker
  • Gray wide-leg jogging pants
  • Light blue Crocs
  • Cream-colored scarf
  • Carrying a black and pink tote bag

Authorities Thank Community; Encourage Tip Sharing in Future Cases

Milwaukee police thanked the public for sharing information and helping spread the alert. They emphasized that quick community action can play a critical role in missing person cases.
