Police Continue Manhunt for Suspect in Lexington August Shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Police are continuing their search for Jonathan Streete, 29, who has been identified as the suspect in a late August shooting in downtown Lexington. Authorities say Streete is wanted on assault and endangerment charges, and Crime Stoppers has named him the most wanted person of the week.
August 29 Shooting on West Short Street
The incident occurred on August 29, when Lexington police responded to reports of a shooting in the 300 block of West Short Street. Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
After an investigation, police identified Streete on September 10 as the suspect connected to the case.
