Racine, Wisconsin Stunned as Three Men Arrested After Two Gang Killings in 48 Hours
RACINE, WISCONSIN — Police in Racine have arrested three men connected to two violent gang-related homicides that occurred just days apart, leaving the community shaken and investigators pushing for more information.
Police Arrest Three Men Tied to November 1 Killing
The Racine Police Department confirmed that 26-year-old Isaiah McGlorn, 25-year-old Chihene Davis, and 24-year-old Zharon Smith were arrested Thursday for their alleged involvement in the death of 26-year-old Cier Tye-Pearson, who was fatally shot on November 1.
According to investigators, all three men played direct roles in the attack.
Officials stated:
“These individuals were taken into custody for their involvement in the murder of Cier Tye-Pearson.”
McGlorn and Davis now face multiple serious charges, including 1st-degree intentional homicide, while Smith’s charges are still being processed through the Racine County District Attorney’s Office.
Second Homicide Believed to Be Retaliation
Just two days after Tye-Pearson’s killing, Racine police responded to another homicide — the shooting death of 25-year-old Jaquon Calhoun, who was killed inside Chicken Palace.
Investigators say the second homicide appears to be a retaliatory act connected to the first murder, intensifying concerns about escalating gang tensions in the city.
A department spokesperson said:
“Both the homicides of Tye-Pearson and Calhoun are believed to be gang-related and connected.”
Investigation Ongoing as Police Search for Additional Suspects
Although three arrests have been made, the case is far from closed. Police are still searching for additional suspects tied to the killing of Jaquon Calhoun, urging the public to come forward with any information about the individuals involved or the events leading up to the shooting.
Investigators emphasized the need for community cooperation, stating:
“We are still seeking information regarding the suspects involved in the murder of Jaquon Calhoun.”
The two deaths have heightened concerns about gang-related violence in Racine, prompting a deeper probe into possible connections, motives, and the individuals responsible for escalating tensions.
Community on Edge as Police Continue Their Search
The pair of homicides, only 48 hours apart, has left residents alarmed at the rapid rise in targeted violence. Police continue to interview witnesses, review surveillance video, and pursue leads to prevent further retaliatory acts.
Authorities stress that anyone with information — no matter how small — could help bring critical answers in the investigation and prevent further violence.
As Racine police continue working to identify everyone involved in these gang-related homicides, residents are encouraged to stay alert and support ongoing efforts to keep the community safe.
