Rapper Armani White Arrested After ‘Chasing Cars’ and Dancing on Kentucky Highway While Filming Music Video

LONDON, KENTUCKY — Rapper Armani White, best known for his viral hit “Billie Eilish”, was arrested over the weekend after police say he was dancing and running in traffic on Interstate 75 near London while filming a music video.

According to the London Police Department, White, whose real name is Enoch Tolbert, was taken into custody Sunday afternoon after multiple drivers reported seeing a man “chasing cars” and “dancing on the concrete median” of the busy highway, about 80 miles south of Lexington.

Police Respond After Witnesses Report Dangerous Scene

Laurel County dispatchers received several 911 calls describing a chaotic and dangerous scene along I-75.

“There’s a van that’s on the side of the road and some people that were in the middle of the interstate; one guy was chasing a truck,” one caller told dispatchers, according to audio obtained by WDKY-TV.

When officers arrived, they found White standing on the median barrier, dancing while members of his team filmed nearby.

“There’s one standing on the barrier wall, dancing,” an officer said over the radio. Another responded, “Ten-four. Copy, one’s dancing.”

Police said the situation created a major hazard for drivers, especially those traveling at highway speeds.

Charged With Disorderly Conduct and Highway Violation

White was arrested and charged with second-degree disorderly conduct and stopping/standing/parking on a limited access highway.

Authorities said the rapper admitted to filming a music video on the interstate.

Hobie Daugherty, public affairs officer for the London Police Department, said it was fortunate no one was injured.

“That split second of distraction could have changed how we’re talking about this story dramatically,” Daugherty said.

Social Media Reaction and Upcoming Album

Following his arrest, White posted on social media, explaining that he smiled in his mugshot because he didn’t want to be portrayed as a criminal. He told fans that the incident “doesn’t deserve to be news” and insisted he remains focused on his music.

The 31-year-old rapper had performed the night before at a venue connected to PromoWest Productions as part of the “Celebrating 20 Years of T-Pain” tour.

Police said they are not against artists filming music videos but stressed that doing so on an active interstate was “the wrong way to do it.”

White was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court for a pre-trial conference on October 28. Despite the legal setback, he confirmed that his new album will still release on Halloween.
